Terms and Conditions for the portal

Before using this site, it is important to read the terms and conditions below:

1. Content funded under the Local Democracy Reporting Scheme (LDRS) and the Courts Reporting Scheme (CRS) is freely accessible to all.
2. Articles funded under the LDRS and CRS may be re-used by third parties. If you intend to reuse this copy, please complete the register your interest form for information purposes only to indicate your intention to reuse.
3. If re-using LDRS/CRS copy:
   • The original journalist’s byline must be retained.
   • It must be credited to the LDRS/CRS, using the wording: “Funded by the Local Democracy Reporting Scheme/Courts Reporting Scheme.”
   • No changes or amendments may be made to the copy by a third party, only by the original publisher.
4. If copy is amended by the original publisher, it will automatically be flagged by the system and denoted by a red flag:
   • It is the responsibility of third-party users to ensure they have used the most up-to-date version of an article prior to re-publication, i.e., they must check if a story has been red-flagged (amended) before use. Third-party users are liable for any copy they re-publish.
5. Photographic material is exclusive to the original publisher and cannot be re-used.
